Act One | Season Two: Weaving our Story

Act One has partnered with Meteor Studio to present Season Two of their VR field trips, which highlight Native American artists from Arizona. Act One, a non-profit organization, seeks to bring field trips directly to students’ classrooms through Virtual Reality headsets. By offering immersive experiences, students can learn about subjects that may otherwise be inaccessible.

 

Act One and Meteor Studio partnered together to create Season Two of Act One’s VR field trips, focusing on highlighting Native American artists from Arizona. Act One is a non-profit organization seeking to bring field trips to students in the classroom through the use of Virtual Reality headsets and experiences. Students are able to learn about subjects they would otherwise find inaccessible.

Impact

Through Meteor Studio's partnership, Act One has provided VR field trips at no cost to Title I schools across Arizona. This initiative helps students learn about art directly in their classrooms. Act One responded to local educators' requests for more information on indigenous artists, offering students exposure to local artists and enhancing their understanding of indigenous culture and its impact on Arizona.

Contribution

Meteor Studio assisted in interviewing and documenting the work of three indigenous artists:

Meteor Studio students helped with filmmaking, audio recording, scripting, editing, VFX, and delivering the documentaries in multiple formats with both English and Spanish subtitles for accessibility.
